While on safari there are many options
of accomodations from simple tents and luxury tents all the way up to the fanciest of lodges. My favorite over the years
are fixed tents which usually consist of either some simple furniture inside or are complete with beds and bathrooms.
Either way, having only canvas between me and the night sounds of Africa is the absolute best and one of the many things I
miss when I am not there.

In these photos you see a typical hut in Kruger
National Park in South Africa (upper left) and a wonderful historic hut also in Kruger in the Punda Maria camp (upper right).
The center photo above is a simple tent I pitched in a camp up near the Angolan boarder in Epupa Falls, Namibia. Below
left is a wonderful fixed tent in Kruger's Lower Sabie camp. This tent was right on the fence line of the camp where
the wilds of Africa wondered by night and day. It was fully equipped inside with a bed and bath. On the front
porch, overlooking the river and wilds, was a kitchen and open grill. The center photo below was my room at a bed and
breakfast in Windhoek, Namibia. The room on the right was at a safari lodge in Amboseli, Kenya.
